Privacy Policy

Salience Scanner (“we”), operated by Salience Solutions, helps you file the people you meet at events: you talk, scan a business card, or type, and the app files the contact to your team’s Google Sheet and drafts a follow-up email. This policy explains what we access, why, and what we do with it.

Google user data we access

• Your name, email address and profile picture (Google sign-in) — to create your account and put you in your organization.
• Google Drive, only files this app creates (drive.file) — to create your organization’s contacts spreadsheet, write rows to it, and share it with your company’s domain. We cannot see any other file in your Drive.
• Gmail messages, read-only (gmail.readonly, only if you choose Connect Gmail) — to show replies from the contacts you filed, and to read a sample of your own sent emails once, so drafts match your writing style, signature and booking link.
• Gmail drafts and sending (gmail.compose, only if you choose Connect Gmail) — to save the follow-up drafts you ask for in your Drafts folder, and to send an email only when you tap Send.

How we use it

• Only to provide the features you see in the app. We never sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
• To write drafts and read business cards and voice notes, we send the relevant text (for example, the contact’s details, your note, and short excerpts of your own sent emails) to OpenAI’s API. OpenAI processes it only to return a result to us and does not use API data to train its models.
• No person reads your email unless you ask us to for support, it’s needed for security, or the law requires it.

Google API Services — Limited Use

Salience Scanner’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

What we store and where

• Your account (name, email, organization) and the contacts you file, in our Postgres database (Neon, United States).
• Google access tokens, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We store no passwords.
• A short summary of your writing style, your signature and booking link, and the drafts written through the app.
• We do not store copies of your inbox. Messages are read from Gmail when you open them.
• The app runs on Railway. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Sharing

Contacts you file are shared with the other members of your organization (people signed in with your company’s email domain), in the app and in the shared sheet. We share data with the service providers above only to run the app, and otherwise only when the law requires it.

Your choices and deletion

• Disconnect Google at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. The app stops working with your Google data right away.
• To delete your account and everything we store about you, email aqeel@salience.solutions. We delete it within 30 days. The spreadsheet lives in your own Google Drive, and you control it.
